The records are divided into three series: subject files, biographical files, and county files. The subject files contain correspondence among organizational members and the Democratic National Committee, memoranda, publications, brochures, conference materials, meeting minutes and agendas, and other records. These topics include positions and criticism of the Republican platform, voter registration, the Democratic National Convention, various national party conferences, civil liberties, civil rights, minority groups, and other party platform positions. The biographical files are labeled according to candidate name at all levels of government and contain information pertaining to each candidate, including occasional photographs. The candidates are typically from Kansas, though files on non-Kansas politicians are present as well. The county files contain clippings documenting the organization's activities with each Kansas county, as well as correspondence thanking residents for monetary donations.
